What I like most about my job? The challenge of creating products with extreme precision. There’s a lot of satisfaction in delivering a neatly finished product. To be honest, at first I thought the work might be repetitive, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. Because of the extremely tight tolerances we aim for, you run into new challenges every time. Every job is different and I keep learning and developing myself.

After just a couple of months here, I got the opportunity to start working at the new five-axis high speed milling department. Even though I’m pretty young, my supervisor told me he had the utmost confidence in me and supported me in making the move. My ambition? I’d love to become a CAD CAM programmer one day.

At IGS, you’re always working with the latest of the latest technology. In the year and a half I’ve worked here, my department has grown from one machine to five. A couple of weeks ago we started using a hyperviewer that allows us to simulate the entire milling program in detail. We’re truly at the forefront of technological innovation.
